1.   Simple Present

A.     Bentuk Nominal

Contoh :

you are at home every night

kamu berada dirumah setiap malam 

B.     Bentuk Verbal

I / You / We / They + VERB I

He / She / It + VERB I (s/es)

Contoh :

We study IPS at home

kami belajar IPS di rumah

   

2.  Present Continous Tense 

( waktu sedang berlangsung sekarang )

RUMUS

I / You / We / They + To Be (am/are) + V I (ing)

He / She / It + To Be (is) + V I (ing)

Contoh :

He is playing in the yard now

Dia sedang bermain di halaman saat ini

 

3.   Present Perfect Tense 

( bentuk kalimat sempurna selesai sekarang )

A.     Bentuk Nominal

I / You / We / They + Have + been

He / She / It + Has + been

Contoh :

I have been to Tokyo before

Saya sudah pernah ke Tokyo sebelumnya

B.     Bentuk Verbal

I / You / We / They + Have + VERB III

He / She / It + Has + VERB III

Contoh :

I have eaten

Saya sudah makan

4.  Present Perfect Continous Tense 

(sedang berlangsung sempurna selesai sekarang)

RUMUS

I / You / We / They + Have + Been +  V I +  ing

He / She / It + Has + Been + V I + ing

Contoh :

He have been working here for four hours

Dia telah (sedang) bekerja disini selama empat jam

Ø      PAST TENSE

1.  Simple Past Tense 

( bentuk lampau sederhana )

Contoh :

I was here last night

Saya berada disini tadi malam

  

B.     Bentuk Verbal

Contoh :

I went last week

Minggu lalu saya pergi

2.  Past Continous Tense 

( sedang berlangsung lampau )

You / We / They + were + V I + ing

Contoh :

I was writing a lesson all day, yerterday

Sepanjang hari kemarin saya menulis pelajaran

 

3.   Past Perfect Tense 

( sempurna selesai lampau )

RUMUS

A.     Bentuk Nominal

I / You / We / They / He / She / It + had + been

Contoh :

She had been at school

Dia telah berada di sekolah 

B.     Bentuk Verbal

I / You / We / They / He / She / It + had + VERB III

Contoh :

They had left before you arrived

Mereka telah berangkat sebelum anda tiba

4.  Past Perfect Continous Tense 

( sedang berlangsung selesai lampau )

Contoh :

When I came from Bangkalan in 1991, she had been living there about seven years

Ketika saya datang dari Bangkalan pada tahun 1991, dia telah tinggal di sana sekitar tujuh tahun

Ø      FUTURE TENSE

1.  Simple Future Tense 

( akan datang sederhana )

RUMUS

a.      Bentuk Nominal

I / We + shall + be

They / You / He / She / It + will + be

Contoh :

She will be at home tomorrow

Dia akan berada di rumah besok

  

b.      Bentuk Verbal

I / We + shall + V I

They / You / She / It + will + V I

Contoh :

I will go to Semarang tomorrow

Besok saya akan pergi ke Semarang

2.   Future Continous Tense 

( akan sedang berlangsung )

RUMUS

I / We / + shall + be + V I + ing

You / They / He / She / It + will + be + V I + ing

Contoh :

I shall be going out at six tomorrow morning

Saya akan sedang keluar pada jam enam besok pagi

3.   Future Perfect Tense 

( sempurna selesai akan datang )

Contoh :

She will have been at home

Dia akan telah berada di rumah

  

B.     Bentuk Verbal

I / We + shall + have + V III

We shall have arrived at India by monday

Kami akan sudah tiba di India pada hari senin

4.  Future Perfect Continous Tense 

( sedang berlangsung selesai akan datang )

Contoh :

By next new year I shall have been teaching at this SMP for three years

Menjelang tahun baru mendatang ( berarti ) telah tiga tahun saya mengajar di SMP

( lampau akan datang )

Contoh :

Money would be given by me if you come to my shop

Uang akan diberikan olehku kalau kau datang ke tokoku

B.     Bentuk Verbal

I / We + should + V I

They / You / He / She / It + would + V I

Contoh :

We should send a letter the day before, if you did not come

Kami akan mengirim surat kemarin, jika kamu tidak datang

2.  Past Future Continous Tense 

( akan sedang berlangsung di masa lampau )

Contoh :

I should be beginning an examination at this time following day

Saya akan ( sedang )memulai ujian pada jam ini di hari berikutnya

3.     Past Future Perfect Tense 

( pada masa lampau akan selesai sempurna )

I should have worked if I had graduated

Seandainya aku telah lulus, aku sudah akan bekerja

4.      Past Future Perfect Continous Tense 

( pada masa lampau waktu akan sudah terjadi )

Contoh :

We should have been teaching English at SMP for 3 years by the end of last year

Kami akan sudah sedang mengajar bahasa Inggris di SMP selama tiga tahun menjelang tahun lalu
